* The clock is ticking. Just a few more days &
Ieperfest 2005 will be there. Hope
to see all of you there, it will certainly be great
fun as always!
* We have 2 last minute additions to the bill: DEADLOCK
& ABORTED! Popular “Lifeforce”
records vegan straight-edge metalcore heroes DEADLOCK
just released their newest full-length “Earth.Revolt.”
Unfortunately their European summer tour got cancelled,
so they are more than happy to come to Ieperfest,
ready to give the best of themselves. ABORTED
are Belgium's finest, internationally acclaimed grindcoremetal
power act who just released their 4th full-length
“Archaic Abattoir” on the French “Listenable”
records. Expect a devastating live set by Svencho
& co at Ieperfest 2005!!
* The city of Ieper played an important role in the
horrible events known as World War I. This is commemorated
every year, by those who fought in the trenches, their
relatives and sympathisers. Out of respect for these
ceremonies the first seven bands on Saturday
27 August will play indoor at the closeby
Jeugdheem, in order not to disturb the serenity of
the memorials. Unfortunately this implies that the
number of kids able to see the first bands on Saturday
27 August is limited. So if you want to check out
one of these bands, be sure to be on time. All the
others can enjoy our various extra activities, workshops
and/or have a look in the distro and merch tent. Please
that is only for the first 7 bands on Saturday.
All other bands will be playing on the main stage
on all 3 days!!
* Pre-sale ticketscan still
be bought until Thu 25 August 2005 at Pyrrhus
record store (Gent) & the Shuffle music shop (Ieper).
No more online sales possible!! There will be plenty
of space and single day or weekend tickets can still
be bought at the door of course!!

August 2005
* We can now officially confirm that MORNING
AGAIN will not play at Ieperfest 2005. It
was impossible for the booking agency to reach the
band the last few weeks. Consequently the entire European
tour got cancelled. We are working on a replacement
but as you will understand at this stage it is not
obvious to find a similar name as MORNING AGAIN. More
news on this matter will follow ASAP.
* Last minute addition: BORN DEAD.
We are happy to announce that Oakland’s BORN
DEAD will be playing at this year’s Ieperfest.
Those who saw the band on their previous European
tour or have heard their music, will know what a powerhouse
this band is. A great addition to the already killer
bill we have for the festival this year!

that it will prove functional for you. We will keep
