Ieperfest News Update 10 August 2005

* We can now officially confirm that MORNING AGAIN will not play at Ieperfest 2005. It was impossible for the booking agency to reach the band the last few weeks. Consequently the entire European tour got cancelled. We are working on a replacement but as you will understand at this stage it is not obvious to find a similar name as MORNING AGAIN. More news on this matter will follow ASAP.

* Last minute addition: BORN DEAD.
We are happy to announce that Oakland’s BORN DEAD will be playing at this year’s Ieperfest. Those who saw the band on their previous European tour or have heard their music, will know what a powerhouse this band is. A great addition to the already killer bill we have for the festival this year!

Ieperfest News Update 17 July 2005

* We’re sad to announce that DONNYBROOK had to postpone their European summer tour with HOODS . They will be replaced by upcoming UK hardcore band AWOKEN (Let It Burn records) who were asked to join HOODS on their entire European tour.

* Pre-sale tickets: the first pre-sale period with tickets at 30 euro will continue until 20/7 at midnight (instead of 15/7 like we first announced). Tickets available at Shuffle Ieper, Pyrrhus or the Pyrrhus online store .

Ieperfest News Update 8 July 2005

* As you probably all know, last weekend the second edition of the Ieperfest contest took place. MAUDLIN was added last minute to that bill. They were asked to replace FULLCIRCLEBROKEN whose singer left the band a while ago. These Belgian coastal heroes came, saw & conquered the hearts of the crowd & jury as they won this year's contest. It was dead close; 6 high quality bands performed & all deserved to win. Thanks to all bands that played & to everyone that showed up & supported the show, very much appreciated!

MAUDLIN will open Ieperfest 2005 on Friday afternoon. We are very excited about this young band from Heist, and we hope that you will all come and check them out Friday 26 August, 11.30 a.m.

* Ticket pre-sale started! Just like last year you can get tickets at a reduced price for a limited period of time. Until 15/07 weekend tickets will be available for a mere 30€ . Between 16/07 and 22/08 the price will go up to 35€. Price at the door will be 40€.

Ieperfest News Update 6 June 2005

Whereas we normally provide you with a gigantic list of newly added bands, this time around there is only one new band that recently got confirmed. We're so extremely stoked about this addition to the line-up though, that we felt like we shouldn't keep it to ourselves any longer. So here it is, lock your children in the basement, as metallic hardcore's godfathers & the underground's best kept secret. STARKWEATHER will be hitting this year's Ieperfest.

* OK folks … Time for a huge update concerning Ieperfest 2005. We are happy to announce no less than 16 new bands that are 100% confirmed for this year’s edition. Unfortunately both KILL YOUR IDOLS & NESHAMAH decided to postpone their 2005 summer tours to a later date. Too bad, but no need to panic since we are offering a wide international variety of newly added bands:

AMANDA WOODWARD  (F) French emo anno 2005, blending emotive hardcore & epic atmospheric parts on the very much hyped US "Level Plane" label. Toured the US in 2004 & haven't played out for almost an entire year. A great chance for the international crowd to come & see them live @ Ieperfest 2005!!
